Sometimes
There is a leaving

A thing that happens,
Even when
We would rather

That things
Already in place
Would just
Stay the same

Where there is comfort
In knowing

What to expect,
Even when
What
We expect

Is not the best, and
Is flecked with
Anguish, and
Heartache

A natural occurrence

Yet, not the only way

That we can play
Within a life
Filled
With
A

Sense of mastery
And knowing
More

Sometimes, then
Leaving is necessary
My friend,

To
Learn more
About ourselves
And, our place on
This beautiful planet
